My daughter got her first car from CarMax almost two years ago. I was worried that the car would have unknown problems. Fortunately her Jetta turned out to be a great car but with a few items that needed repair. Rich gave his advice, actually saying, “you don’t need to fix this now, let’s watch it and decide when would be the best time based on your daughter’s driving style and mileage.” What??? You never hear about a mechanic looking out for the customer most of the time! I can sleep easy knowing that I have a mechanic that wants to do the right thing for his customer. I’m so relieved my daughter and I can take her car to a trusted mechanic and that now we know the history of her car. Thank you once again Rich!

Don't believe BMW when they say they have solved the toasted valve stem seal issues on their V8 engines with twin turbos in the V-space. 80Kmi and they are toast. Brian has photos of them. He did the repair using the AGA tool set on my 2014 X50i with the N63TU engine after it failed CA smog due to visible smoke at idle. Rich and Brian are good guys and I will go to them when I need walnut shell blasting of the intake valves in a few years.

I have taken both by wewer Macan and my 2013 Mercedez C class and for what I expect they have been great. what do I expect? I ask for the work to be done with the right parts not some cheap gray market substitute. I expect it t obe "reasonably" priced (Much better then the dealership and not the lowest in the market. and Lastly, I absolutely feel I need to Trust the shop and so far so good! and hope to continue taking my cars. They are friendly and fast and competent. Not the least expensive for sure. I just don't want to be ripped off (Like the dealership, those service guys do get commission and do NOT always have your best interest plus they are sooo pricey) and I want the work done correctly. for that I am happy to pay somewhere in the middle So far so great. :-)
